Membership Roles
Firemen
Volunteers supplement the career firefighters throughout YAUFR. Career staff train daily and volunteers are welcome to participate. No experience is required. You will in receive all necessary training and gear. This includes training in hazardous materials, vehicle rescue, emergency medical response, structural firefighting, and MORE!
Fire Police
We have a dedicated group of volunteers who respond to our emergency incidents to assist with controlling traffic and providing our crews a safe area to work in. The training and equipment necessary to perform these tasks is provided!
Junior Firemen
We are always looking for members ages 16+ to join our ranks. Junior Firefighters receive all the benefits as our regular firefighters. Trainings, ride along with the career staff on calls, participate in a wide variety of drills. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career as a first responder.
Administrative
Social members are the backbone to our stations. Helping out with administrative roles, fundraisers and general upkeep of the station. They make sure things run smoothly when the volunteers are responding.
Administrative Members also aid in large incidents by providing canteen and rehab.

Please fill out and print the completed application below and print a copy your driver license. The application fee is $25. The membership committee at one of the township departments will get back to you. Once accepted into membership, you may run out of any of the YAUFR stations. Not sure what department to choose? Alert is the volunteer department for the Emigsville area and Manchester Township (Station 895 – 3200 Farmtrail Rd. , Station 896 ((full volunteer house) – 3118 N George St.)
Springettsbury is the volunteer department for the Pleasureville area and Springettsbury Township (Station 891 – 50 Commons Dr., Station 893 – 2045 N Sherman St.)
Grantley is the volunteer department for the Grantley area and Spring Garden Township (Station 892 – 918 Virginia Ave. )
Victory is the volunteer department for the Elmwood area and Spring Garden Township (Station 894 – 421 Wheaton St.)
